Robert Mazur

This year’s theme is transformation: how do new technologies take due diligence beyond automation into something genuinely transformational?
A well renowned journalist and author opens the day, before three teams share first-hand accounts of how they have approached that challenge.
From different sectors and risk profiles, they’ll explore what prompted change, how their processes and responsibilities evolved, what they learned along the way, and what they would do differently today. Each story is followed by an open panel discussion and audience Q&A, creating space to explore the questions that matter most to practitioners.
Lunch at the IET continues the conversation with peers.

In the afternoon, we move from transformation stories to the questions facing the field now.
Three interactive panels will explore why organisations are rethinking due diligence, how teams can strengthen risk management without creating unnecessary friction, and what AI means for the way due diligence work gets done.
Hear from compliance, ethics and governance leaders working at Meta, Simmons & Simmons, Helios Investment Partners and University of Oxford, alongside practitioners working through these challenges in their own organisations. Our CEO, Chris Green, will also share Xapien’s perspective on where due diligence technology is heading, including an early look at what we’re building next.
Robert Mazur closes the day with a first-hand perspective on how financial crime operates, and what it takes to understand risk from the inside.
