We’ve received two awards in the Chartis RiskTech100® 2027, including the first in a new category: Automated AI-Driven Due Diligence.

Chartis created the category to recognise a new generation of due diligence technology, and named Xapien its first winner. We were also named a Disruptor in Workflow, Agentic AI and Low-Code/No-Code.

Both the awards recognise Xapien’s AI-native approach to due diligence and the architecture behind it. AI has sat at the core of Xapien from the outset, embedded in the research process rather than added as a layer to an existing product.

Automated AI-driven due diligence

For the Automated AI-Driven Due Diligence award, Chartis highlighted Xapien’s automated multilingual research, proprietary entity resolution, agentic UBO discovery, and configurable AI-driven risk assessment.

Sid Dash, Chief Researcher at Chartis Research, said:

“Xapien has brought together various data, analytics and technology elements to provide a high-performance, scalable, automated due diligence platform that can act as a foundational capability in a wide variety of contexts. Its category award for Automated Due Diligence is a natural consequence. Additionally, Xapien’s agentic AI framework makes it a disruptor in the Workflow, Agentic AI and Low-Code/No-Code category.”

Together, those capabilities allow organisations to research individuals and companies across structured and unstructured sources, remove false positives, understand complex ownership structures, and produce fully sourced due diligence reports in minutes.

The result is due diligence at scale without sacrificing scrutiny. Research that once required analysts to move between databases, web searches and individual records can instead be brought into a single investigative process, with the sources behind each finding preserved.

A disruptor in agentic AI and compliance workflows

As a Disruptor in Workflow, Agentic AI and Low-Code/No-Code, Xapien was recognised for embedding automated research can into existing compliance processes while remaining transparent and governable.

Chartis praised its configurable approvals and escalation processes, API and MCP interfaces, comprehensive audit trails, and source-grounded AI.

That flexibility extends to the AI models underneath the platform. Xapien is model-agnostic, so it is not dependent on a single model provider. It can evaluate and route requests to the models best suited to particular tasks. That gives us the freedom to improve performance as the underlying technology evolves.

One architecture, many data sources

The same principle applies to data.

Xapien’s data-agnostic architecture can ingest and reconcile structured and unstructured information from a wide range of sources, including client-provided data. New sources can be incorporated without rebuilding the underlying system, while information from different providers, languages, and jurisdictions is combined in one fully sourced research report.

That means corporate records, sanctions and PEP data, watchlists, media, investigative sources, the open web, and a client’s own datasets can all feed the same research process.

Clients are not tied to one data provider, nor do analysts have to reconcile outputs from multiple systems. Xapien works with the sources they already use, manages the underlying integrations and commercial relationships, and brings the resulting intelligence together in one place.

With AI moving deeper into regulated workflows, Chartis identified explainability, source traceability, and robust model validation as critical considerations for responsible adoption.

We’re delighted to see that approach recognised across both awards.
