Xapien appoints new Chairman of the Board, Chris Pilling
Xapien today announced Chris Pilling has been appointed as Chairman of the Board.
Chris is an experienced entrepreneur who has founded, advised and invested in businesses in the Regulatory Technology (RegTech) space for many years including Complinet, ComplyAdvantage, Elliptic, Behavox, Ethixbase, Access Intelligence and Cube and was former Head of Compliance and Regulatory Risk at Thomson Reuters. He brings deep industry knowledge as well as a wealth of experience in scaling businesses from early stage to large global enterprises.
“I am delighted to join the Xapien team and to be working with them to deliver on their mission to use artificial intelligence and natural language processing to produce an executive-level report on any person or organisation, anywhere in the world.
Over the past 25 years I have been privileged to work with several great companies in the due diligence space who have revolutionised the way due diligence datasets are collected and delivered. However, the industry still carries an enormous overhead relating to the manual research element of compliance and diligence processes. A due diligence process that might take a researcher several days to complete can now be delivered in minutes using Xapien’s revolutionary AI technology.
This technology will not only deliver significant cost savings for regulated companies that have to perform thousands of these checks each year, it now makes high-quality due diligence research accessible to thousands of companies at a price point that was never possible via manual research. It is a perfect example of an AI company that has the capacity to deliver transformative results, globally.
I look forward to working closely with the company’s leadership team and investors to scale the business rapidly over the next few years and help unlock their true potential.”
Chris Pilling
“Chris’ long history of leadership in high growth companies, coupled with an unparalleled understanding of our markets makes him an ideal person for this role. We look forward to working closely with Chris to deliver on our shared vision to help the world do better business.”
Dan Secretan, Xapien’s Co-Founder and COO
